The Welshpool Festival of Transport, (please visit their website for more infomation - www.welshpoolfestivaloftransport.co.uk), has been running for many years now and is a popular event held over the weekend. We were fortunate enough to attend the 2007 event together with my parents. The organisers were absolutely superb in their efforts to accomodate my mothers' needs as she is disabled and wheelchair bound. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and vowed we would return. Here are some of our photos.
There was a number of steam engines there not all of which are shown here, additionally a number of static engines were on display.
In addition to the small trailered steam boat above the canal at the edge of the showground had a number of boats tethered including a passenger carrying narrowboat. Unfortunately insurance prevented it from operating in that capacity.
Vintage Tractors and cars were to be seen close up.
There was even sections for Motor Cycles, Busses, Lorries and many more.
I couldn't resist including at least one photograph of our trailer. (my parents trailer hidden behind).
And of course the Festival Queen.
